The Alan-1 Dr Pepper™ Soda Slam Arcade Redemption Game: where precision bartending meets head-to-head competition. Built by hand at Alan-1's Area 52 factory in Tooele, Utah, this is an officially licensed Dr Pepper machine that puts one of the most recognized soda brands in America on your arcade floor.

Crafted for family entertainment centres, destination barcades, bowling complexes and trampoline parks that demand floor presence, group appeal and proven redemption integration. This is an operator machine first, with a footprint and power draw designed for commercial venues rather than home game rooms.
About Alan-1
Alan-1 has been engineering original arcade experiences in the United States since 2017. Their Area 52 factory in Tooele, Utah builds every cabinet by hand, from the custom i/oT input output electronics to the hand-applied cabinet artwork.

Alan-1 won the IAAPA 2024 Brass Ring Award for their Major League eSports platform, the connected play layer that runs across their entire lineup. They continue to attend the most popular expos every year. Owning an Alan-1 machine means owning something that was designed, built and supported domestically, with no outsourced corners.
A Nationally Licensed Brand on Your Arcade Floor
Dr Pepper Soda Slam carries the official Dr Pepper license, which puts a nationally recognized brand identity in front of every person who walks past your machine.

Cabinet artwork was hand crafted by Alan-1 studio artist Alejandro Radio, and the in-game graphics follow the Dr Pepper "Fansville" commercial series, so the branding is current, cohesive and immediately familiar to guests of all ages.
This is not a generic theme applied to an existing shell. Alan-1 reworked both the cabinet and the gameplay from their own proven Soda Slam title, producing new and unique graphics and a fully Dr Pepper-branded experience exclusive to arcades.
The Perfect Pour: Easy to Learn, Difficult to Master
Four soda taps sit in front of each player station. Customers gather along the counter demanding service before their thirst sends them elsewhere. The player pulls back on a colour-coded tap handle to begin filling the cup at that station, one cup per tap at a time.

Fill the glass straight to the top without going over and the game awards a Perfect Pour, which scores the maximum points.
Chain Perfect Pours together and the point multiplier climbs. Chain enough and an ice cube flies across to your opponent's station, disrupting their flow at the worst possible moment.

You can underfill and still score, as long as the fill level clears the halfway point, but only a Perfect Pour builds the multiplier.
That gap between learning the mechanic in thirty seconds and mastering the chain under pressure is precisely what keeps guests queuing for another turn.
Zach Harmon of Fat Cats, commenting on the original Soda Slam, put it plainly: "We've seen people of all ages playing and competing with each other. It performs on par with solid game pieces like Grand Piano Keys and Quick Drop."
See the Perfect Pour mechanic in action, including the tap handles, the fill meters and the ice cube attack that lands on your opponent:
RGB LED Fill-Up Tubes: The Signature Visual
Mesmerizing RGB LED fill-up tubes run the height of the cabinet and light up the moment a tap handle is pressed. Each tube responds in real time to the fill level on screen, giving every pour a physical, glowing counterpart that guests can see from across the floor.

The effect does what a still photograph cannot: it draws a crowd. A player landing a Perfect Pour triggers a full-tube burst of light that is visible well beyond the immediate play area, turning every successful chain into a floor-level advertisement for the next round.
This is the visual signature of the machine, and it earns its own space in venue planning. Position the cabinet where those tubes have sightlines, and the machine markets itself.
65-Inch 4K UHD Display

A 65-inch 4K UHD display dominates the front of the cabinet, giving the Fansville-inspired graphics the resolution and scale they need to land at arcade viewing distances.
At that screen size, the pouring animation, the customer expressions and the fill indicators are all immediately readable from several feet back, which matters in a busy venue where a first-time guest needs to understand the game in seconds.
2.1 Channel Audio and Physical Effects
A 2.1 channel audio system carries the in-game sound design, from the fizz of a pour to the crowd reaction on a Perfect Pour chain. Two rumble motors sit under each player station, firing physical feedback through the deck with every tap pull.
A cabinet knocker adds a second layer of physical effect timed to key in-game moments. The combination of rumble, knocker and audio means the game communicates success and failure through the body, not just the screen, which raises engagement without raising the volume ceiling.
Dr Pepper Flavour Lineup and Colour-Coded Controls
Players serve four flavours across the two stations: Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, Dr Pepper Zero Sugar and Dr Pepper Cherry. Each tap handle carries four Dr Pepper soda can images integrated directly into the handle, and the handles are colour-coded to the taps they control.

The 2-way spring-loaded leaf switch mechanism on each handle gives a responsive, tactile pull that translates directly to the on-screen fill action. The colour coding removes any ambiguity about which tap fills which cup, keeping the gameplay legible even during a chaotic chain sequence.
Ticket Redemption and Cashless Integration
Dr Pepper Soda Slam is designed primarily for ticket redemption play, with a points-only mode also available from the operator menu.
Ticket payout is adjustable, giving FEC operators full control over the redemption economy without opening a service call.
eTicket redemption runs through a cashless card reader. Two ticket dispenser signal amplifiers ship with the cabinet, one per player, and they interface with both mechanical and digital ticket dispensers.
The cabinet itself has no slot for a physical ticket dispenser, and fitting one is outside the warranty coverage, so plan accordingly.
Each player station carries one UCL-standard 9-pin connector, two connectors on the cabinet in total. UCL is the amusement industry's standard card reader port, which means every major cashless system connects without adapters or splicing.
A bill validator installation harness also ships with every unit, and the cabinet accepts either a payment panel or a standard 2-slot coin door, with coin mechs preset to 25 cents where a coin door is fitted. Free play is available from the operator menu.
MLeS: Free Connected Tournament Play, No Subscription

Major League eSports (MLeS) is Alan-1's own mobile app, free on Android and iOS. Players log in to track high scores, earn league points, form teams, challenge friends and compete in tournaments, and they receive a notification whenever someone beats their score.
An integrated global leaderboard links to every player's Alan-1 account, and every Alan-1 release is eligible for the Alan-1 Championship Tournaments. Connectivity runs over wired Ethernet or the built-in WiFi, with no online fees and no subscription. Operators who expect a monthly platform bill will not find one here.
MLeS is the platform that won Alan-1 the IAAPA 2024 Brass Ring Award. It is a meaningful retention tool: the notification a player receives when their high score falls is a direct invitation to return to the venue.
Deluxe or Super Deluxe: Which Configuration Fits Your Floor
The Deluxe is the standard two-player configuration: the full cabinet, the 65-inch screen, the RGB LED fill-up tubes, the 2.1 channel audio, the rumble motors and the cabinet knocker, at an installed width of 70.3 inches.
The Super Deluxe adds a pair of giant, LED-backlit Dr Pepper can props, one standing either side of the monitor on dedicated platforms. The can props expand the installed width to 121 inches and ship on two additional pallets. Everything else, the game, the screen, the audio and the physical effects, is identical between the two configurations.
For venues with the floor space, the Super Deluxe delivers a visual statement that is impossible to miss. For venues where the priority is footprint efficiency, the Deluxe runs the same game with the same redemption performance in a meaningfully smaller width.

Assembly
Assembling the Dr Pepper Soda Slam is a multi-person process. The cabinet does not arrive ready to play. The header, print piece and marquee all ship detached and are fitted on site before the machine can be used. Alan-1 recommends four people on installation day.
Begin by joining the print piece to the header using six 3/8 by 3 inch carriage bolts, washers and nuts, tightened with a 9/16 inch wrench. Fit the marquee by slightly loosening the retaining bolt to open a gap, sliding the marquee into position, aligning it, then re-tightening without overtightening. Place the assembled header on top of the cabinet, secure it with four bolts into the designated slots, then plug in the marquee light connector.
Before first power-up, open the rear door and confirm that the motherboard, power supply and all internal cables remain fully seated after transit. The LED tubes are extremely fragile: remove any protective packaging from them slowly and carefully, and use scissors rather than a razor blade, as a blade can cut too deep and damage the cabinet.
On the Super Deluxe, bolt the can platforms to the side panels using 5/16 inch carriage bolts. Lift each can prop onto its platform with at least two people, then plug the LED wire harness into the port on the bottom of each can. Fit the splash platform blocks and acrylic splash pieces behind the header to complete the installation.
If connecting by wired Ethernet rather than WiFi, have a CAT5e or CAT6 cable ready before installation begins. The TV remote is needed for initial display settings: keep it somewhere safe, as it is easy to misplace in a busy venue.
Alan-1's own installation walkthrough for the Soda Slam cabinet platform covers the same header, marquee and can prop steps described above:
