Assembly

Setting up your American Pinball Houdini Classic machine is a simple and smooth process, designed for everyday users. Assembly would require around 30 to 45 minutes, without the need for special tools or technical skills.

Due to the weight of the cabinet (approx. 265 lbs), two people are recommended for lifting and stabilizing during setup, especially when installing the legs and raising the backbox.

Main Setup Steps:

  1. Carefully unbox the machine using scissors or a utility knife, removing straps and padding without damaging the cabinet.

  2. Attach the legs -> begin with the front legs, stand the cabinet upright, then secure the rear legs using the provided bolts.

  3. Raise the backbox until it locks into position, and secure it using the two included hex bolts through the mounting brackets.

  4. Open the coin door to remove the lockdown bar and slide off the glass.

  5. Check for any shipping materials inside and remove them before replacing the glass and lockdown bar.

  6. Adjust the leg levelers to properly incline the playfield (target incline: 6.5°).

  7. Plug it in and power it on -> the machine arrives with all game code pre-installed and ready to play.

There is no software setup or configuration required at this stage.

Warranty

All new American Pinball machines purchased through our store are covered by the American Pinball Limited Warranty.

Warranty Coverage

  • Materials & Workmanship – Covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal home use.

  • Parts Coverage:

    • General parts: 90 days from the date of shipment.

    • LCD monitor: 1 year from the date of shipment.

What’s Not Covered

  • Labor costs for installation or service.

  • Shipping or transportation costs.

  • Normal wear-and-tear items (rubber rings, bulbs, plastics, posts, etc.).

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper installation, or accidents.

  • Damage during shipping (claims for transit damage must be filed with the carrier).

Warranty Registration

To activate the warranty, the purchaser must register their product on American Pinball’s website within 15 days of receiving the machine.

How to Request Warranty Service

If you experience a warranty issue:

  1. Contact our Customer Service Team. We’ll help troubleshoot and determine if the issue is covered.

  2. We will assist you in opening a warranty claim with American Pinball via their service portal or by calling 1-833-API-HELP (274-4357).

  3. American Pinball may ship you a replacement part or request the defective part be returned (shipping prepaid).

  4. In rare cases, the machine may need to be returned for service.

Returns

  • A restocking fee may apply, as determined by American Pinball.

Shipping Damage

Free Shipping

Delivery times for American Pinball machines typically range from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your location and shipping volume, with free curbside freight delivery anywhere in the 48 contiguous U.S. states.

All machines ship via LTL (Less Than Truckload) Freight on a pallet, with lift-gate service included in your free shipping. The freight carrier will contact you ahead of time to schedule a delivery appointment. We recommend having at least two people available at delivery to help uncrate and move the machine into place.
