Setting up the Cactus Canyon Remake Special Edition is a straightforward process that typically takes around 20 - 30 minutes, and two people are strongly recommended given the machine's size and weight of approximately 275 lbs.
The machine arrives largely pre-assembled inside a single professionally crated shipping carton. Begin by cutting the shipping bands and opening the carton, checking all loose parts against the packing list.
With your second person, use the built-in strap to slide the game out of the carton (never pull on the ball shooter) then remove the foam corner padding and stand the cabinet upright.
Bolt on the four legs using a ratchet with a 5/8" socket, then level the machine with the included levelers and a torpedo bubble level.
Next, remove the wing bolts and washers securing the backbox shipping cleat, raise the backbox and lock it into position, then remove and reinstall the backglass after clearing any shipping screws and display-protection material.
For the Plus Topper configuration (14000-SE+), mount the Wild West Shootout Topper on top of the backbox and connect its wiring harness.
To finish setup on both models, clear all packing material and shipping blocks from the playfield, wipe the steel pinballs with a clean cloth to remove their anti-rust compound, and load them into the ball trough. Adjust the tilt plumb-bob to your venue's preferred sensitivity.
Tools needed: wire cutters or scissors, needle-nose pliers, utility knife, 1/4" nutdriver, a ratchet with 5/8" socket (or a 5/8" wrench), and a torpedo bubble level. A full printed manual is included in the box and is also found here:
