Assembly
Assembling the Chicago Gaming Pulp Fiction Special Edition Pinball Machine is a straightforward process that typically takes around 20–30 minutes, and two people are strongly recommended for safe and efficient setup.
The machine arrives largely pre-assembled in a single professionally crated shipping carton. Begin by cutting the shipping bands and opening the carton, checking all loose parts against the included packing list. With your second person, use the built-in nylon strap to carefully slide the game out of the carton (never pull on the ball shooter).
Remove the foam corner padding, then stand the cabinet upright. Bolt on the four legs using a ratchet with a 5/8" socket (or a 5/8" wrench) and level the machine precisely using the included levelers and a torpedo bubble level.
Next, remove the wing bolts and washers securing the backbox shipping cleat, raise the backbox into position, and secure it firmly. Remove the backglass, extract the insert-door shipping screw and all shipping material from the five alphanumeric displays, then reinstall the backglass and lock the backbox.
Clear any remaining packing material and shipping blocks from the playfield, wipe the four steel pinballs with a clean cloth to remove any anti-rust compound, and load them into the ball trough.
Finally, adjust the tilt plumb-bob to your preferred sensitivity. Tools needed: wire cutters or scissors, needle-nose pliers, utility knife, 1/4" nutdriver, a ratchet with 5/8" socket, and a torpedo bubble level. A full printed manual is included in the box and is also available here:
