All Connelly billiard tables include Championship Invitational Cloth with Teflon at no extra cost. Invitational is a hybrid cloth, meaning it blends wool and synthetic fibers to offer a balanced mix of durability, easy maintenance, and consistent play.

Most Championship cloths fall into this hybrid category and are available as a +$125 upgrade.

Valley Teflon Ultra is also a hybrid cloth; the color Champ Green is included, while all other colors are available for +$125.

For players looking for a faster, more precise playing surface, worsted cloths are available as a +$225 upgrade. Worsted cloths, such as Pro-Am and Tour Edition, use tightly twisted yarns that are woven smooth, resulting in less friction, faster ball roll, and a truer, more tournament-style response. Invitational with Teflon

Invitational with Teflon is Championship’s most popular home cloth. This 20‑ounce, 75 % wool / 25 % nylon fabric is bathed in genuine DuPont Teflon for water and stain resistance. It plays fast but not too fast, providing a balanced surface that appeals to many home players. The cloth comes in a wide range of colors and includes pre‑cut rails for easy installation. Tour Edition

Championship’s Tour Edition cloth is engineered for tournament‑level play and durability. This 24‑ounce, 2‑ply worsted wool fabric is heavier and more tightly woven than most competitors’ cloths, making it the most durable tournament fabric in billiards.

Because it uses slightly less material than Tour Edition, Pro‑Am is easier to install and offers a lower price point. It’s a good choice for customers who need a tough, tournament‑quality cloth without the extra weight.

Challenger

Challenger is a 2025 hybrid worsted/woolen cloth that bridges the gap between fast tournament cloths and slower home fabrics. Constructed from a 75 % wool / 25 % nylon blend at 20 ounces, Challenger combines the longevity of a worsted cloth with the speed control of a woolen. 

Championship notes that it plays true from the start, offering minimal slide and a refined speed that isn’t too fast or too slow. This makes Challenger ideal for novice and competitive players who want a forgiving yet consistent surface.

Valley Teflon Ultra

Valley Teflon Ultra is a hybrid woolen cloth finished like a worsted to provide the fastest woolen playing surface on the market. Unlike Mercury Ultra, the fabric is bathed in DuPont Teflon, making it the only truly liquid‑resistant billiard cloth. Spilled drinks bead on the surface instead of soaking in.

Mercury Ultra
